DAY ONE: Moreton-in-Marsh to Winchcombe. Distance approx. 18 miles (29 km). After breakfast you will be picked up with the bikes and transported to the beautiful Cotswolds countryside to begin the ride. Heading west you reach the pretty villages of Batsford (with its arboretum), followed by Cutsdean. There are traditional pubs along the route to obtain refreshments or lunch. As you approach the ancient town of Winchcombe, Sudeley Castle and Gardens are well worth a visit. Winchcombe will be your base for the next 2 nights.  Overnight: Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, England.

DAY TWO: A 14 mile (23 km) circular ride called ‘Secret Cotswolds’. This is a hilly route that takes you through some of the quieter Cotswold villages, such as Hailes with its Cistercian abbey. As this is only a short ride it allows you plenty of time to enjoy the many attractions and spectacular views you will encounter, and after the ride, time to explore the ancient town of Winchcombe. The village of Brockhampton is your last chance for a lunch on this ride unless you have packed one, because the route takes you deep into the Cotswold Hills with only the occasional hamlet.

Should you prefer an additional or alternative ride there is a circular 25 mile (40 km) ride called ‘Traditional Cotswolds’. From Winchcombe it is about 4 miles to Toddington on a mainly flat route with occasional climbing. The route then takes you through beautiful Cotswold villages where you will find Snowshill Manor, Stanway House, a steam railway and lots of lovely views. About halfway round the route is Broadway which offers a teddy bear museum, specialty shops and a wide variety of restaurants and pubs. But remember you are only halfway and there is still a lot to see as you return to Winchcombe. Overnight: Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, England.

DAY THREE: Winchcombe back to Moreton-in-Marsh. Distance approx. 20 miles (31 km). Leaving Winchcombe this very nice ride takes you through villages like Guiting, Condicote and Broadwell.  It allows time to look around the larger town of Stow-on-the-Wold and finish back in Moreton-in-Marsh. You will be picked up from one of these towns to be transported back to Kingston-on-Thames where you can stay another night (not included in the tour price) or continue your travels.

DEPARTURE: The tour finishes after breakfast on the final morning (if you opted to stay an additional night).

Richard - our trip is completed, and the "after-action" report is a big TEN!  You did an excellent job of selecting places to stay and just everything.  I could tell the people at the inns like you too, because they don't always let people stay for just one night.  We had good weather - cool, but great for riding, and no rain - everything went as planned.  We were always able to find our inns with a bus or public transportation , or walk, so we did fine on that.  We'll probably plan something else in another yr or so - so keep us posted of anything fun and interesting that you have that is new.  And the plus was when we got to Fort William they were having the World Championship Mt Bike event and we got to see the course and watch some of the teams practicing....I'm sure you planned that into the trip.  ???  ha
Take care and we'll keep in touch.  Jamie and Randall, Stanwood, WA, USA.
