TOUR DETAILS:

A seven centre inn-to-inn, self-guided walking tour along the Thames Path from Oxford to Marlow with the final night in Windsor, England. 7 nights bed and breakfast in superior hotel accommodation, 6 days walking, rail ticket Marlow to Windsor, luggage transfer, guide book and maps.

This 7 night tour starts in Oxford and finishes at Marlow, with the final night in historic Windsor. We have planned the walk to see the best of the walking route and the finest villages and town. You will use public transport (local train) on the small sections from Marlow to Windsor to complete this 57 mile journey along the stately River Thames. You follow the route yourself without a guide. We arrange your hotel accommodation and transport your luggage between the hotels. We will provide the trail guide and notes on how to find the accommodation. Just let us know the date you would like to arrive (you start walking the next morning).
You stop for 7 nights in country guesthouses and hotels of 3 star and above category, where accommodation is available in twin, double or single rooms. All rooms have en-suite facilities and there is food served in the hotel restaurant or at nearby pubs or inns.
The Thames Path, which runs for 180 miles (288 km) is the first National Trail to follow a river throughout its length. It begins at the Thames River source near Cirencester in Gloucestershire, England. Along its way it passes through water meadows, historic towns and villages and finishes at the heart of London by the Thames Barrier. The Countryside Commissions acorn signposts lead the walker through tranquil water meadows, past the dreaming spires of Oxford, quaint thatched roof villages and the pageantry of the Henley Regatta, Windsor and Hampton Court, through the heart of the capital, to London's docklands and beyond.
