Tour description
A one centre self-guided cycle tour based in Kingston-upon-Thames near London. Includes 2 nights in in luxury en-suite bed and breakfast guesthouse accommodation, 2 days cycling with hire of hybrid touring bike, plus route guides and maps. PLEASE NOTE: The only meal included in the tour price is breakfast.
The tour is based in Kingston-upon-Thames close to Heathrow airport and London, easily reached by the tube or taxi. Using the mainly traffic-free circular cycle routes you can choose to visit Richmond Park, Wimbledon, Hampton Court and cycle along the river Thames. This is a great way to get around the vast city of London taking in many of the famous sights as you ride, with the option to return by the tube.

START and FINISH: Kingston-on-Thames South West London.
ARRIVAL DAY: Arriving in London by train or air it is easy to get to Kingston-upon-Thames. For 2 nights you will stay in a very nice guest house near Kingston-upon-Thames. The bikes will already be at the guesthouse and help will be given to adjust them to your requirements. There are many places to eat in the area from traditional pubs to luxury restaurants. Recommendations will be given to help you choose. Overnight: Kingston-upon-Thames, England.
DAY ONE: Circular ride to Richmond Park and Wimbledon. Distance optional. After a freshly prepared breakfast from local sourced produce you can ride to Kingston-on-Thames to join a traffic-free cycle path that follows the river into London. There is the option to continue on into the city as far as you like or turn off into Richmond Park where you can spend a lovely morning cycling around this beautiful park and maybe stop for lunch. There is the option to head back along the river or you can spend the rest of the day in Wimbledon, riding through the common and visiting the lawn tennis club. You can then ride or catch a train back to Kingston where you stay for another night. Overnight: Kingston, England.
DAY TWO: Circular ride along the Thames to Hampton Court. Distance optional. After another hearty breakfast you can use the bikes to visit Hampton Court Palace. A traffic-free cycle path leads along the river Thames around Hampton Court Park where you can spend the rest of the day visiting the palace. It’s just a short cycle back over the river to Kingston where you’ll return the bikes, pick-up your luggage and continue your journey.

There are very convenient buses from each major airport. National Express carries over 16 million passengers to 1000 different places in the UK every year, and thousands more from destinations across Europe and Ireland. You can purchase an e-Ticket where you print your travel ticket online in a matter of minutes OR you can obtain an m-Ticket and have your travel ticket sent to your mobile phone - no paper ticket required. You then present this to the driver on arrival.

GRADE D cycling: Optional distance to ride each day. We recommend that clients bring their own bicycle clothing, we can arrange for the hire of this if required the cost would be about £50. The rides are very flat and easy, you will start cycling about 10am and finish about 4pm.
